Second verse, same as the first...

I hate to sound like a broken record, but back is still owie. It teases me by getting better for a day or so, then all of a sudden...boom!...it's worse again. I know I should give in, see a specialist, and go for the x-rays, CT scan, MRI, what-have-you, but I just keep hoping if I'm patient enough and careful enough that it will get better without taking the next step.
I know. I'm an idiot.
A lot of people have suggested a chiropractor (thanks, christinenj !), but I have another problem that makes that a risky proposition. Depends on how desperate I get, I guess. I tried to do a little routine cleaning around here today, since things are getting really bad. Of course, I'm paying for it now. =le sigh=
Still working long-hand on Marking Time (and on the computer for short periods), so please don't give up on me.
To those who have commented and not heard back from me, please, please forgive me. It's deeply appreciated and I will reply.
To friends and authors I owe comments and feedback to, you are all fabulous, wonderful people and you'll be hearing from me, too. Better late than never, I hope.
In the meantime, stay well.

Date: 2005-04-18 04:33 am (UTC)I really like that story and it seems to me that poor Spike has spent a long time in jeopardy
Lol! I'll say! Certainly much longer than I had intended, poor thing. Hee.
Thanks for friending me, btw! Hope it's okay if I friend you back.

Feel better.

Feel better.

Date: 2005-05-14 12:41 am (UTC)Yes, back is much better, thank you very much. Turns out I had a herniated disk, and a few sessions of physical therapy and some very careful movement on my part has made me a much happier camper these days.
So glad you haven't given up on me or the story. With my absence of almost a month, you may be the only one!
I just popped online to check email and am about to grab some dinner, but I should be back later tonight (hopefully before midnight) to post the next chapter. It's ready to go except for one leeettle segment that's just been kicking my butt. But I've resolved to post it now, even if I have to go back some time later on to make it (hopefully) better.
So your message just cemented that resolve. It's a sign! Hee.
