Long time, no post
Mar. 26th, 2006 09:17 pmWhere to start? First off, I’ve gained some new friends since last I checked! Welcome! I’m thrilled to have you here and I hope it’s okay if I friend you back.
We’re barely three months into 2006 but it feels so much longer. There’s been a lot of upheaval on the home front, the work front, and the health front. Some of it’s good, some of it’s bad, and some of it’s kinda scary.
It’s been two months since I looked at my flist or been online to do more than clear out the spam in my email accounts. I’ve probably missed tons of things, but I hope all of you are happy and doing well. Don’t know when I’ll be back on a regular basis yet, but I do miss LJ so I’m aiming for asap.

schehrezade_1, sunshine18, paratti, crackers4jenn, cordykitten, raemcn, spikeslovebite, and rustybitch. I hope it was the best day ever!
And speaking of belated, I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the coordinators and judges of the late, lamented Vampire’s Kiss Awards and the still-going-strong Love’s Last Glimpse Awards. Plus, extra big hugs to the person or persons who nominated me for both. I’m grateful for the nod to Unfinished Business, and I was thrilled to find that Marking Time won Best Crossover in the 15th and final round of the VK Awards and snagged runner-up for Best Challenge Response in Round 13 of the LLG Awards.
I’d show you my pretties, but I’m not sure how to do that and I can’t research it right now. But trust me, they’re gorgeous! ::happy sigh::
Congratulations to all of those nominated. And an extra special congrats to the winners on my flist --schehrezade_1, spikes_heart, st_salieri, sandy_s, fer1213, and uisge_beatha. You are all truly talented.
As for the progress of “Marking Time,” I’m thiiiis close to finishing the next chapter but haven’t been in the mindset to work on it in recent weeks. I’m on my way now to see if I can get it jumpstarted.
And finally, I see the spectacularmegan_peta is having a b’day tomorrow. Here's wishing you a day that’s every bit as lovely as you are!
